Reclaim the NHS joined Merseyside Pensioners on a tour of Medical Colleges in London to express concern over the “Americanization” of the NHS 1/7
No one (other than the Head of Security) came out of @gmcuk to address our serious concerns, some staff did engage us at @theRCN and we got great support from people passing by including drs. Many people stopped to ask about our protest 2/7

Returned to @rcgp to catch Drs going in to AGM*. We were welcomed by security & CEO came out to chat. Challenged him over PAs replacing Drs, downgrading ‘good medical practice’, diluting Dr influence on RCGP board, closure of @LiverpoolWomens 6/7
@want full reinstatement of Bevan model ie. kick out American Integrated Care Systems/Boards & all attendant ‘markets’, trusts, providers, commissioners etc Renationalise health so it’s publicly provided, comprehensive, universal, free with access to DGHs & GPs for al 7/7
* I hear the delegates voted against diluting the influence of Doctors on the RCGP board. Now we need those doctors on the board to use RCGP power & mobilise members to demand reinstatement of Bevan’s NHS model if they care about patients
